The title of this journal is “Blogs in English Language Teaching
and Learning: Pedagogical Uses and Students’s responses.” This article discuss
about learning English through Blog. Some scholars explained that blog could created a sense of community that would be
less likely to emerge in a conventional classroom setting.” This research was
conducted by surveying 145 students in eleven EAP (English Academic Purpose)
and university composition courses at a recently-opened English-medium
university in rural Japan. In order to collect the data, at the end of each
term throughout the research period, the writers used the online survey program
Surveymonkey.com, available for free for small-scale surveys and with monthly
fees for more professional features (www. surveymonkey.com). The discussion
shows that the survey results it
seems clear that students truly appreciated the need of blog to improve their writing and
considered having an editor and being an editor valuable. In conclusion, the students responded positively to the
blogging activities in general as well as to the blogging buddy system. While
over 80% of students stated that they enjoyed posting, reading their
classmates’ posts and making comments on those posts. A large majority also
found the blogging buddy system useful, motivational and effective for
improving their writing.
Jamila Lyiscott is a girl which could speak English in three tongue and she decided to treat all three of her languages as equals because she is articulate. Who controls the articulation ? English language is a multifaceted oration subject to indefinite transformation. She is a tri-lingual orator which used differently in home, school and friends. She could speak like “What’s good ?” “Whatagwan” and “Hello”. Sometimes she is consistent with the language which is used now then switch it up to reduce the boredom. Sometimes she fight back two tongues, while she uses the other one in the classroom and when she mistakenly mix them up and feel crazy like she is cooking in the bathroom. She do know that she had to borrow American language because hers was stolen. However, the western cannot expect her to speak their history wholly while hers is broken.
